To speed up this mundane but necessary activity, I will post it here.

1)  Assist with the weaponsmithing.
2)  During breaks or off time, what else is a sorcerer going to do with his down time but review the Obligate's works?
3)  Search for the monkey using detect magic.
4)  Journal work once my writer's block ends.

I think the above activity would take up most of my time.

Just to clarify what I meant by
Quote
Reading the "damaged one" manual grants a +2 to any knowledge check in regards to information about the damaged ones...

This is meant to be a bonus to any of the applicable knowledge checks (nature, arcana, etc) based on having specifically studied this work.  The "study" will involve a minimum of 6 weeks of dedicated reading, at least 1 hour per day.  This can be coordinated so multiple people can study it at the same time if desired.  This is an additional bonus, not withstanding any additional skill points used to increase any of the specific knowledge skills.

I'm getting ready (sometime this afternoon or evening) to fast forward through the rest of the current day and then through one more day to get us to a point of movement again--I will cover talking a bit more with the monkey (who won't have much to say other than stuff like "I can get you a banana if you want one") and exploring the cave (which has something of interest but which is not dangerous--at least at this point.)

After this post I'll leave it open posting for a bit to give everyone a chance to cover any additional actions/comments and then we can get rolling again in the dungeon...

How many arrows were made?

Did Teledesic need any?

Taedyn had asked for 60 I am pretty sure?  59 tips and one brand new one.  I am not too worried about it though--if anyone wants more--between the three blacksmiths more could be made in two days of work--especially with the hammer that cuts the fabrication time in half.

But realistically (game wise)--60 is probably enough for two or three people--quivers typically hold 20-30 if I recall--and given my lenient policy (arrows only lost or broken irrevocably with a critical failure) you shouldn't have to worry about making too many replacements--at least for a bit.  It is assumed that some time is spent in the evenings repairing broken arrows here and there (time that is not role played) to keep this stock fully functional...

Anderlorn--you got a 25% chance that Desna will actually intervene here and mess with the sword a bit--feel lucky??

Anderlorn
Jennaver mentioned today that she wants to give Taedyn a "bit of luck" for his roll to get a better sword--she has the Luck Domain which grants a certain number of retrys on d20 rolls (using touch).  I see no reason to not extend this to a d100 in this case.  So if your first roll is greater than 25 you can try again...

Sounds good - Since I am a worshiper of Desna can I help improve the odds in anyway and that was 25% or less on d100?  If I roll higher than a 25%, I get 1 more attempt?

In addition, is the prison built according to the compass?  In other words, are we in the South West edge section of the prison?

The 25% already factors in everything--it would normally be a 2 to 5% chance Smiley  Yes--as far as the roll description--unless you prefer to use the high end--which is fine as long as you call it that way before the roll.

The prison maps are all set by compass with north at the top of the page...  But Obligate's cavern is not on the map--it was not part of the original design.  His room is, however, and is the fourth room farthest south on the map (bordering the bottom edge) from the left.

I will roll 25% or less.  Let's see if Desna smiles upon Taedyn.

1st Roll - should have gone with the higher ... lol

Rolling to see if Desna smiles upon Taedyn - 1st roll (1d100=96)

Rolling again keeping at 25%

Rolling to see if Desna smiles upon Taedyn - 2nd roll (1d100=49)

Nope no good, she must be busy with someone else or something?

I can not really complain though - A Masterwork Cold Iron Sword with Arcane Strike is not bad in itself.

Thank you for the blessing - maybe Desna's luck works in other non-apparent ways... Smiley

I started a new thread HERE for maps.  I am going to move all maps here and start using this thread just for maps, rather than having them dispersed through the IC posts.
