Taedyn sheathes the sword and states...

"Ok, is everyone ready to move out?"

[OK--everyone is packed up and ready to go--in Obligate's room.  The secret cavern is properly sealed up again--just need a consensus on where you are going next...]

Taedyn takes out the map and shows everyone where the party is on the map.

"Harpsent, in accordance to our mission, do you have any suggestions on where to go from here?"

Taedyn takes out the map and shows everyone where the party is on the map.  "Harpsent, in accordance to our mission, do you have any suggestions on where to go from here?"

Harpsent glides down to talk with Taedyn "It would appear that the gateway leading to the hidden plane in this section has been compromised--these Mane and Dretch demons we've been running into were imprisoned there.  So reaching the gateway and trying to capture anything left there may be a good goal for this section.  I was expecting this area to be mostly empty...

The main goal is to capture as many damaged ones as possible--so it would be good to sweep through this entire area--given that the gateway appears to have been opened recently--there could be quite a few demons running loose here.

We may be able to seal off each section as we go somehow?  ...to try and prevent any creatures from moving into an area after we leave it?"

Kev looks up and asks "Is there a way to seal off the section?  If so, I think that would be good to do as well."  He then makes one last check of equipment and then takes his spot up towards the front (assuming same marching order as last time).

Taedyn nods to Harpsent in agreement...

"Kenden can you reactivate the fields in the prison to seal up areas we have already been to keep prisoners out of them?  That way we do not have to return to the same locations over and over again to capture Damaged Ones."

Kenden flies over next to Taedyn and whispers "No Taedyn, I can't control any other null fields except my own."

Harpsent says "I believe Ertigon did repair most of the fields surrounding the prison again Taedyn.  But these fields were never designed to stop travel between the sections--only to contain the entire prison.  There are many areas that have--or had--powerful glyphs and traps to prevent damaged ones from leaving certain areas.  The Celestials in Section "E" may be able to help with this if none of us are able to do this...  And each section only has a few ways in and out."

Taedyn looks inquisitively from Teledesic, to Sheen, to Marakast waiting for response from each of them.

"I agree with Harpsent in that it makes sense to sweep this entire area to capture those damaged ones that are wandering loose here before moving on.  I suggest that we work the entire section, getting used to each other and our new weapons and spells, leaving the pillared room as the last goal.  By then we may be organized enough to open the gateway prison and clean house with some success."

Sheen flies over to Ameera and asks permission to look into the backpack throwing the following comment back over his shoulder....

"If we are to use Obligate's quarters as a homebase, why not leave some of this stuff here to make room for things we find along the way.....down in the workshop area I think would be safe....yes?"

"Are you sure we will be comming back here?" Dordolio asks.... looking at the map... "It seems that this is a rather large area." he peers at the book that holds the map "It looks to me that this is not the only area. I prefer thinking that we are mostly not returning to previous locations... and pack my gear accordingly"
He looks at Taedyn... "what do you think?"

"Harpsent since you have been here before.  Barring any unknown damage or added features, is it feasible for us to use the Obligate's Quarters as a base of operations?  I prefer to rest here and store items here we do not immediately need."

"Harpsent since you have been here before.  Barring any unknown damage or added features, is it feasible for us to use the Obligate's Quarters as a base of operations?  I prefer to rest here and store items here we do not immediately need."

Harpsent considers this for a moment glowing random colors, and then says "We should be able to come back here--at least for a while.  This section and several of the adjacent sections are fairly easy to pass through--except for the creatures that may bar the way.  There will likely be a few traps to disable along the way.  I can also teleport back here easily to retrieve items--as long as it is nothing too heavy.  And several of us can fly too, so those with this ability should be able to get here quickly.  There will come a point when it will be harder to get back here than it would be to stay somewhere else--and there are certainly other places that can be considered safe to rest at.  Few will have the comforts of Obligate's cavern, or be as secure, but there are many nice places to stay in the prison.  There was a large population of Celestials and other friendly creatures here too--who kept living quarters and recreation areas.  Many of the sections have been taken over by other less friendly creatures, but there are many areas that are just abandoned too.  Ertigon also asked that the prison be opened up if we complete this mission--so this place would be a good area to store things, since it is close to the main entrance.  Once the null field is removed this will be very easy to get to from the outside world..."

"Thank you Harpsent.  So unload things that we do not need such as the Masterwork Greataxe and other items."

"After we unload unnecessary items, let us head for Section E to see about reactivating the traps and glyphs securing areas that we have already checked or will be checked.  I am sure we will run into Damaged Ones on the way.  Everyone in agreement?"

Marakast checks his meager belongings.  [Whispering]"I am ready to go with Kenden to the next area.  I believe this area would be good to store items while we are close to it. This dungeon is supposed to be very big, so I doubt it will be able to be used for the entire trip that we are here."

Sheen flits around nervously, wringing his hands and listening while Marakast and Kev prepare to move off to Section E before hovering in Taedyns vicinity to try communicating his instincts again....

"I understand the pull to move forward, believe me I do, but I feel a keen apprehension at the idea of putting this space behind us without fully understanding what it holds.....I'm no fighter but this plan seems dangerous to me......"

Sheen directs his attention to Ameera and says

"It is apparent to me that you have skill at disarming traps so I'm guessing you might be equally talented in the setting of traps to help secure those areas that we are able to clear?  In fact, your traps combined with a well placed illusion by one or more of us more talented in these areas may be enough to heard the less experienced nasties out in front of us.....yes?"
